About Kofo

My name is Kofoworola Oni, and I am honored to be running for City Councillor in Ward 4. For more than five years, I’ve proudly called this community my home, and I am deeply committed to its growth and prosperity.

As a member of the City of Regina’s Appeals Board, I actively work to ensure fairness and justice within our community. This role has provided me with valuable insight into the issues that affect our residents and businesses, from property standards to business license disputes. My experience on the board has deepened my understanding of the challenges we face and the opportunities we can seize to enhance our community.

With over nine (9) years of experience in financial services, I bring a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. My expertise enables me to drive responsible budgeting, foster economic growth, and enhance community development, all while ensuring fiscal accountability and effective decision-making for the long-term benefit of our community. I hold a bachelor’s degree in marine science and I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). My educational and professional background equips me with the skills necessary to effectively represent Ward 4.

My commitment to community service is further evidenced by my work with organizations like the World Health Organization, The Light House, YWCA and other volunteering experiences, where I’ve served children, youth, families, and marginalized communities. This passion for helping others led me to start the Mum and Baby Project, a nonprofit organization seeking to provide essential baby items to mothers and babies in need within our community.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am happily married to my wonderful spouse, Ola, and together we are raising two amazing children, Tehillah and Bryan. Balancing family life with my career and community involvement is a rewarding challenge that I embrace wholeheartedly. As a parent and a resident of Ward 4, I am deeply invested in our community’s future, and I am passionate about making it an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

I am particularly passionate about strengthening community safety and well being, promoting affordable housing and sustainable development, providing and enhancing local infrastructure and public services, as well as fostering economic growth and job creation.

I am excited about the opportunity to serve you and work together to create a brighter future for Ward 4 and the city of Regina at large.
